Khao Yai and school trip

I don't know why but they habitated me in a 2 floor flat. With 2 bedrooms 1 living room 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies.

Next morning I woke up into this view.

The plan was clear. Travel to Khao Yai National Park. Ok, not a problem! It's just 15 kms away. So I put on my running shoes I set off. On the way I stopped in a local shop to buy a breakfast. After I walked like 5 km on the side of the road this nice lad with his wife stopped and gave me a lift to the gate of the park.

Yes. I was there. First goal was successful. Then I walked into a information centre and they told me that the centre of the park is another 15 kms far away in mountains. Haha! So is there a chance of renting a bike? Yes in the park centre. So I told myself I can do it. I will be walking! No big deal. I got myself a ticket for 400 bahts. Just for foreigners. Local people pay 50 bahts.

When I was prepared to set off on foot a bus full of kids came to the gate and some old lady has come to me saying to get on and join them. Ha! The best thing that could happen to me. A school trip with teachers. Ride for free to the end of the park and back.

So I hopped on and we have driven to the sightseeings and eventually to a watterfall. On the pictures it does not look like it but it was more 25 metres high.

There was a Black Giant Squirrel jumping over our heads.

After we saw the watterfall the kids had a picnic. And they invited me in. So why not? Sit with locals and try their food.

The old lady on the left is the one who spoke to me earlier and it turned out that she is the headmaster of that school.

This is called Khao Tom Mud. It's a desert. Sticky rice with banana wrapped in a banana leaf. It was very delicious.

When we finished eating we headed back to leave the Khao Yai National Park. On the way back we took some pictures. All the kids wanted to take a picture with me. Am I the first white boy they have ever seen?

They dropped me off at the gate and continued to the city. So I was again walking to my Samuer Dao Resort.

Again after like 5 km a guy with his girlfriend stopped to pick me up and give me a ride to my hotel. He offered to me that he will bring me to the city tomorrow from my hotel. Even that he lived far away. But he was free in the afternoon and I had to leave early in the morning so we said goodbyes and he left. I ended up my day like this sleeping on a couch.

I needed the sleep because the next day I was about to travel for a long time.
