Lip-smacking Tomb Rider kicked my ass

Once again a new day in a new city. It was a beautiful morning with around 30°C. I had a feeling that I am the only guest in the guesthouse so I didn't expect good breakfast. On the contrary they served very delicious western meal. Scrambled eggs with french baguette, butter & jam with french baguette and a bowl full of fruits (banana, apples or pineapple). The best meal I had in days.

After I was completelly full I set off to explore the city. The guesthouse offered free ride with a tuk-tuk to Pub Street. Most known street in the city.

I was reading reviews of this place on the internet so I was really curious what they can offer. I stopped at The Red Piano restaurant.

Very nice and touristic based restaurant. Specialty was Tomb Rider cocktail. I could not resist and had to try it. It was my first alcoholic drink in Asia. And it was very delicious.

Even after that big breakfast I felt getting buzzed a little. At 12am... but what I'm on holidays after all. After having a little bit uplifted mood I went to look for some shopping mall where I can buy a simcard. 15 minutes to that I had an Cambodian number.

So I had about 6 hours to explore the city before dark falls. I went to the local river in a hope I will find some places worth seeing. There was many.
Classical bridge over the river

Old rudimental but still working millwheel.

And then I found this beauty based on the bank of the river amongst modern buildings.
Wat Preah Promh Rath Pagoda. Built in 1500 A. D.

I left the Pagoda and I found very popular place called Old Market. Where you can buy anything and very cheaply. For example Ray-Bans for $5. About this time I was feeling the Tomb Rider's influence going away. Finally. Haha

I continued exploring the city and parks.

I have met this guy with who I had a great chat. He is an English teacher and he was raising money so he could build a school for poor kids.

There was an Angkor National Museum with all the history but no phones or cameras were allowed.

After that I decided to visit the famous Angkot Wat the next day. Local people can enter for free but tourists have to pay $37 which is a lot.
On the way back to the guesthouse I took few more pictures, took a shower and went to bed.
